WTF? OVER?

I just saw this most recent poll result on Fox News Buzzz Tracker.

* Huckabee* 18.6%

* Romney* 15.2%

* McCain* 14.8%

* Thompson* 11.8%

* Paul* 4.0%

I am having a hard time believing that not only Rudy is still in the lead but Huckabee is closing the gap. Maybe I am just listening to the same choir that I preach to but damn if it doesn't seem that the majority of people that I know locally here in Florida as well as the ones I know across this great land are backing Thompson as the best of the bunch.

I saw on Fox's Beltway Boys last night that they figured McCain will wind up with the nomination for a couple of reasons..first is that he is the only one that polls indicate can beat the bitch in the election and that he is in fact a bona-fide hero with military experience and a lot of it. The Beltway Boys seem to think that McCain is the one republican that all of the republicans can get behind even if they have some significant disagreements with him such as the McCain-Feingold bill and McCain's stand on illegal immigration. They also figure that McCain can get a majority of independent voters who are fiscal and social conservatives...

Maybe McCain can get the support of most of the republicans..but if he does it will just prove to me something that I have been believing for the past few years..most of the so called republicans are RINOs and not real republicans.

I keep hoping that in my life time a third party will emerge and offer the voters a real choice..a party with a platform that is built on the one true value that this country was built on..FREEDOM! Freedom from undue government taxation and regulation. Freedom means different things to different people I suppose. But to me it is outlined in the Bill of Rights...the first ten amendments to our constitution..amendments that were insisted on by the people of the new United States of America before they would ratify the constitution.

Our elected representatives and senators as well as our appointed judges have been slowly chipping away at the bill of rights for decades...and if we the people do not do something about it there will be no bill of rights..nor the freedom that we now enjoy. Something needs to change and soon. But in the meantime I am still buying ammo...
