Can a Liberal Be a Unifier?...no way Jose!

Robin Toner of the NY Times asks "Can a Liberal Be a Unifier?" And my response is BAWAHAHAHAHAHA you gotta be shitting me!
If the country wants a unifier then they should vote for John McCain who has the reputation of stepping across the party lines to get something done. In fact it is this "stepping across the line" that has the hard core conservatives dead set against him! Some of what he did I supported...much I did not...but one cannot deny that McCain is one of the few in the senate who was willing to work out a compromise.
One of the things we voters for about politics is that compromise is what it is all about! It is a game of give to take and the successful politicians is the one who can play the game..giving up on issues less important to gain support on issues that he/she feels are important. The problem in the past twenty years is that the dim-a-crits refuse to budge on anything and the RINOS budge to get their earmarks approved..in fact the republican has sent to the senate the best senators money can buy.
So what about Osamma Obama? Can he be a unifier? Yeah, although he has no record of ever trying, he probably could be with the current senate..all he has to do is come up with enough money to buy them off. But then maybe that is more of being a purchasing agent than a unifier...
I kind of figure that Obama's ideas of unification is more in line with those of Joe Stalin and Osamma Bin Laden..just eliminate the competition... Can a Liberal Be a Unifier?...no way Jose!
