DAMN!!!

I found the chart below at Joan's place. She has some choice words to say about it and the comments on her post are well worth reading. But I have a few of my own about the chart:

All wealth comes from taking a natural resource from the earth and doing something to increase its value...this is known in economics as production. Services nor government create wealth...they just spread around the wealth created by those who work in production. When the wealth being created is less than what is required to support the overall population one or maybe all of three things must happen...government must borrow money, print more money, or raise taxes on those who are producing the wealth. You see this in action right now. It is a no win situation for any society that lets itself get into this economic situation.

Borrowing money just compounds the fiscal problems of a country...the yearly interest payments take an ever increasing bite out of the available revenue. Printing more money can only eventually cause inflation because it takes more money to buy the same product. And raising taxes? Why do you think that there are fewer people working in production? When business is not allowed to keep enough of their production due to taxes and government regulation they do what they have to do to survive or close the doors...and moving off shore is how many are surviving.

The republic is doomed unless the public wakes up.



And in any event it is a sad when there are more government employees in a country than employees who work creating wealth.

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot... She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers:

I Know My Rights, I Want It Now, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

With two dim-a-crit thieves not running for reelection this fall it gives the RINO thieves a chance to at least get filibuster control again in the senate. But the hell of it is that the GOP internal war may prevent it from happening. In some places such as Florida the conservative base of the party is taking over but the question remains, "will the RINOs still support the party or will they go with their socialist brethren?"

But the bigger question is, "what will the independent voters do?" Keep in mind that some 10 to 12 percent of the registered voters are of neo-libertarian persuasion...fiscal conservative and for the most part classical liberals...I am one of them. (And if you don't understand the term 'classical liberal' google it or look in the dictionary before you jump on my butt) Neither the dim-a-crits now GOP can win without our support. In the past we had supported the GOP because of they appeared to be fiscal conservatives but we found that they were typical politicians who blew tax payer dollars like drunks in a whorehouse. The election three yeas ago saw the GOP lose the neo-libertarian support and thus the elections and control of the house. In 2008 the GOP still would not change their RINO image and once again the neo-libertarian voters just stayed home.

Will it happen again this fall? Maybe not...the tea party candidates are emerging across the country and promise to bring some fiscal sanity back to congress if elected. I am supporting Mark Rubio here in Florida who is running for the senate. Rubio promises to be a fiscal conservative although I do have an idea that he is also aligned with the Christian right wing...but right now I will get in bed with them to get rid of the socialists under that "your enemy is my enemy and I'll get you when we get rid of them" concept.

I do encourage you to look at who is running for office in your area...remember, "all politics are local" and if we want to put the republic back on solid financial ground we have to start at home by electing city and county officials who can make do with the dollars they have to spend and not beg for money from the state and Feds.
See, my friends, it doesn't make any difference where the politicians get the money they spend...it is still YOUR tax dollar they are spending.

Who is to blame for letting the Christmas bomber on the plane? The fingers are being pointed in a lot of directions and the dim-a-crits are even trying to blame Bush! Let me explain a fact about management and it don't make a gotdam whether it is military, business, or government.

There are a couple of things called responsibility and authority...responsibility is assigned and authority delegated. Ultimate responsibility rests with the top manager...in this case the president of the USA...he assigned the responsibility for Homeland security and delegated the authority to carry out that responsibility...the American voters assigned that responsibility to the president gave him the authority to carry out his assigned duty. Damn few presidents have understood this...but as Harry Truman so famously said "THE BUCK STOPS HERE!" So my friends if you want to assign blame start with the top dog...and start kicking there and on down the line.

There is one other truism about management...subordinates follow the leader. When a leader is sloppy you can bet your butt the subordinates will be also and when a leader demands perfection subordinates will do their best to comply. Obama told the world that he was not waging a war on terrorists...and it appears that his sub-ordinates took him serious. And until Obama takes the war on terrorists seriously I have my doubts that the dim-a-crits running Homeland Security will do so either.

sometimes I do see some GOOD NEWS in the NY Times.

"Senator Christopher J. Dodd, the embattled Connecticut Democrat who was facing an increasingly tough bid for a sixth term in the United States Senate, has decided not to seek re-election this year, Democrats familiar with his plans said Wednesday."

"The decision came hours after another Democratic senator, Byron L. Dorgan of North Dakota, also announced that he would not seek re-election this November."

These are the two crooks who took the kickbacks from Countrywide Financial. The Senate Select Committee on Ethics let them slide but the voters probably would not..

Now, if the voters can just reject Obama and socialism we might stand a chance of surviving until the Iranians take us over.

I have somethings to say this morning...you may or may not agree but I do ask you to attack my argument and not me...when I am wrong I say I am wrong and if you can convince me that I am off base here then please do so...


There is a distinct possibility that the civilized world has waited to long to ever stop the barbarians. If in fact Iran does not have nuclear bomb capability now, they will have shortly. According to the linked report the development of the nuclear power is taking place in underground tunnels safe from attack. It appears that little can be done short of an armed invasion and a long bloody fight to get to the bunkers. So what next? Convert to radical Islam and learn to speak Farsi?

The west, especially the USA, was put on notice that the Iranian mullahs who rule Iran had declared war on the USA on November 4, 1979 when they stormed the American Embassy, killing the Marines guarding the compound and holding the civilian State Department employees and other Americans hostage until January 20, 1981. Although this was an act of war the democrat president at the time, Jimmy Carter refused to do anything...maybe in fear of public reaction if the Iranians murdered the rest of the hostages or maybe because of a lack of courage and conviction to the idea of freedom.

Although the Iranians have become ever increasingly hostile and a threat to world peace no subsequent America president has been willing to make a first strike against the mad mullahs...and now it is probably too late to do so nor is the United Nations willing to do much to stop the Iranians from taking over the earth. China is blocking stronger economic sanctions...and it is about the oil and money to the Chinese who get 15 percent of their oil from Iran as well as have billions of dollar deals to help the Iranians further develop the Iranian oil reserves.

The left wing progressives have managed to weaken the United States to where it just doesn't have the military or economic ability to fight a sustained war against Iran nor does the American people have the conviction to do so. Our economy is in shambles, our military valiant but seriously weakened by years of fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan and the progressive socialist government does little to strengthen the military. The socialists presidents gutted American intelligence gathering capability starting with Jimmy Carter to the point now that even the CIA has lost its ability to determine if its spy recruits are double agents or not...


The first attack by Iran will no doubt be against Israel...maybe Israel will be given a chance to surrender before getting nuked or maybe not but there will be the attack by Iran. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Israel and its military and intelligence gathering capability. But I don't believe that Israel is strong enough to go it alone against Iran now...they might could have 10 years ago but not now.

The handwriting is on the wall for the civilized world. And at the same place it was over 2000 years ago. We just can't seem to find a Danial to read it...no, that is not true. There are many Daniels who can and have read the handwriting but no leader with the balls to do anything about it.

Yes, it is a classic "Horns of A Dilemma" situation now for the western world. It is doubtful the USA is capable of surviving a prolonged war against Iran nor will American allies support the USA in a first strike effort to stop the mad mullahs. But if nothing is done Iran will soon be in a position to use nuclear blackmail to take over the mid-east and a major portion of the word supply of crude oil as well as destroy Israel. With control of the Mid-east oil supply Iran can dictate crude oil prices and thus destroy the western economies.

It appears the western leaders are taking the position of Greek rhetorician Phaedrus:

"Phædrus, however, because of his training in logic, was aware that every dilemma affords not two but three classic refutations, and he also knew of a few that weren’t so classic... He could take the left horn .... Or, he could take the right horn.... Or he could go between the horns and deny that (there are only two choices)".

Obama and his ilk refuse to grasp a horn and appear to be going between them...but that does not mean that there is no dilemma. Denying the horns are there does not make them go away.

I'll post an off colored joke later. Maybe I am wrong in what I am seeing...my premises may be faulty and any logic based on faulty premises is of course faulty. But if I am wrong then by the breath of the creator (does the breath,hmmmmm) some one give me an argument and show me I am wrong.

But in any event I am not planning to learn to speak Farsi and I will go down shooting when they come for me. I suspect that there will be millions more just like me but unless our western world leadership and the thought process of the western world population changes soon the Persian takeover of the earth is coming...

The American government realizes that something is going to have to be done to stop al Qaeda in Yemen but the typical Islamic world government in Yemen is going to make it difficult. And Yemen is not like it was in S. Vietnam when the CIA inspired a coup against the ruling family and installed its on government...the Saleh family controls most of Yemen from the presidency to the heads of various government functions and the generals in the military.

Mr. Saleh presents the Obama administration with a problem that is all too familiar in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He is amenable to American support, but his ineffective and corrupt bureaucracy has limited reach. And his willingness to battle Al Qaeda, which he does not view as his main enemy, is questionable.

So how do you fight al Qaeda in a place like Yemen? Bombs...lots of bombs...? Maybe a better question is how do you defend the USA against al Qaeda when you have a president who figures spreading the wealth of the country and converting the world to socialism has a high priority then a war against terrorism...of wait, I forgot, he stopped the war against terrorism...instead of fighting them he is teaching them the words to Kum Ba Ya and is trying to win their hearts and minds...

So, the right wing Christian shamans are not content with Gay bashing in the USA, they have to go to UGANDA and preach the hate at a conference. But the difference is that Gay Bashing in the USA doesn't get a lot of Gay people hurt or killed. In Uganda it does:

This NY Times Op-Ed piece is guilty of some omission...which to me is the same as tell me a lie. The writer contends that the torture of the raghead detainees was illegal.

Damn, where do I start with this...maybe by pointing out that these so called detainees would be called POWs if they had been wearing uniforms an thus protected by the Geneva convention rules of war. But they were not and as such could have been summarily shot as spies. These men for the most were taken prisoners because they had taken up arms against the allied military and the others were taken because of their direct links to terrorist activity. These men have no civil rights under the Geneva convention nor no right to a trial by jury by any stretch of the American constitution. Such a right is only in the minds of the political correct left wing who is dead set on destroying the constitution.

The other omission is what constitutes torture. I cite you a dictionary definition:

The omission by the Times writer is that the Bush administration and courts found that the acts committed to get information from the terrorist prisoners were legal because they were not intended nor did threaten the death or health of the terrorist.

The other point of omission is that the date obtained from these so called tortured prisoners of war (detainees my ass) has helped prevent acts of terrorism. But the NY Times writer appears to be one who had rater see another 9-11 type attack than ever to admit that there is a time and place for water boarding...

I also submit that by the dictionary definition most prisons in the USA use a form of torture to control the prisoners...and what Obama is doing to this country is torturing me...because it is causing me extreme mental anguish.

Yeah, I know I am late posting this morning...so sue me. Kinda quiet on the home front...cold out but the sun is bright and the birds and treerats are on the feeders. It was a chilly 28F at 0730 and only 37F as I write this. Too cold for my morning walk in the private park although I do need to have a private talk with my creator and ask her just why the fuck she is doing some things to me that make my life miserable at times...but I already know the answer...because whatever happens I will be stronger for it...if I fucking survive. But the jumpstart is good and hot and the second pot is on. Now I am gonna get me some cackleberries and grits...might even have some cheese in those grits today. Y'all come heah...the roads are cold but not icy.

Sunday Sermon

I figure that atheism is illogical. Logic tells me that it all didn't 'just happen'. Maybe it did start with the big boom but what went boom and where did it come from and what caused it to go boom? The most logical answer is a power higher than man...a god, a diety, to me the creator. Thus I believe that agnostics are more logical than atheists...at least an agnostic tells me he/she just doesn't know...and that is an honest and logical thought process...

But I also believe in the freedom of speech. And it is a good thing I do not blog out of Ireland...take a look at what the Irish think about Freedom of Speech. Now, ask me again why I tell you that NO organized religion is compatible with true freedom. It is about control my friends, not about god. Damn, if I was there I would be in the slam because I don't have enough Euros to pay the fines.

And I reckon it is a good thing that I am not much of a cartoonist. I would not hesitate to depict the prophet as a blood thirsty raghead wielding a sword. And no doubt would have the haters of free speech after me.

My friends, your freedom is not only your right...a right you were born with...but the most precious asset you have. It is worth more than all the material wealth you could ever accumulate. And the value of your freedom of speech is second only to your freedom of and from religion. However, without freedom of speech there can be no freedom of religion...in fact without freedom of speech all other freedoms are limited.

There is a concentrated effort on earth right now to eliminate freedom of speech from both the religious world and the political world. This effort is not limited to the 'left' and/or 'right' political wings...it is an effort by all of those whose agenda is to control you and your thoughts. The religious groups want to tell you you can't call a spade a fucking shovel and the politically correct group want to make it illegal for you to call a spade a spade but don't care about the fucking shovel. Both the religious and political leaders will outlaw any dissent against the if they can...take a look again at the link to the law in Ireland.

Sunday Morning Coming Down

I was thumbing through the Old Testament while ago thinking about maybe a "Sunday School with Guy" post for today..( well actually as I write this it is Saturday night but it will be today when you see it...wait does that make sense? Naaa)...anyway I re-read the Song Of Solomon for maybe the 200th time in my life...hey when I was a lad in Sunday School it was my favorite book of the Old Testament much to the dismay of my Sunday School warden teacher. At one time I had "Solomon 7 1 thru 9" memorized word for word and could and would quote on demand. People, the ancients knew how to write some love poetry...just wish I could put words together like this for the one I love:

How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman. Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies. Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins. My second favorite book in the Old Testament is Judges...those were some leaders folks and there was no sexual discrimination...the best for the job got the job! But what I liked about Judges was the sex and violence...you know you saw the movie about that long haired Hippy Samson and his raghead girl friend Delilah even if never read the book. He was a tough dude but the toughest of em all was this Israelite named Gideon...naaa not the one who puts all the bibles in the Circle 6 Motels...but the one who took 300 good men and kicked the shit out of thousands of ragheads. DAMN! Don't you wish Obama was that good?

Good Morning Blog World

Two days in to the New Year and not much has changed except the date on the calender and the swelling that has gone down in my left arm. Looks like the more things change the more they stay the same. I am reminded of the first rule...whenever government tried to make a situation better at the taxpayers expense it always gets worse. And under the Obama administration and the socialists running congress it can only get worse.

Yes my friends, a New year but nothing much has changed in the raghead world either. There is one thing that many who have little knowledge of history do not know....Muslims have been killing each other as well as infidels for centuries...ever since the death of the prophet Mohammad when there was a war over who would be the successor. And they are still at in in Pakistan and elsewhere...it has little to do with religion and a lot to do with control. But then I kinda figure every organized religion is more about control than it is god so why should Islam be any different? But maybe there is a silver lining in the dark cloud of Islam...as long as they are killing each other they will not have as much time and energy to kill us.

I am not a big fan of Beck because of his religious right wing views...I believe the religious right is as dangerous to the country as the socialist left led by Obama and the democrats in congress. But I do concur with Beck that Obama is planning on turning the USA into a socialist democracy instead of a representative republic.

Obama's idea are now and have always been socialist at best if not communist. He was elected because those such as you refused to tell the truth about him. Beck has no qualms about it...maybe he is all for show but as you write, there are millions of Americans who do not buy into what Obama is doing and will follow any leader who has a chance of defeating socialism and the destruction of the American constitution.

article that no where could they refute the facts that Beck comes up with...but instead of trying to refute the facts the writer made an attack on Beck. This has always been the tactics of the left wing...when they cannot attack the message they attack the messenger...get those attacks myself on occasion...that's why I have guns. Yep, the only thing new is the date on the calender.

And things are still the same on the home front. I woke up early and got up and put on a pot of jumpstart and came in to scan the news. Still have to choke down my meds although since I have dropped the blubber I only take about half as many as I used to and some of them are vitamins and such. At least I am off the diabetes pills and high blood pressure pills...that stuff will kill ya. Anyway, I was just about to the point of quitting the blog...news is so gotdam depressing but then I read what the asshole said about Beck. Whether the asshole likes Beck or not Beck is trying to make a difference and he is succeeding. Maybe, just maybe this humble bit of shit and wit might make a difference to someone someday. Besides, my angel of the morning loves me and likes to read what I write and that alone makes it worthwhile. Y'all come, heah? I'll put on another pot of coffee...or if you prefer I'll make you a cup of tea.

New Years Resolutions

I seldom make resolutions...except for one and that is not to make any New Years resolutions. But this year I am making an exception to my usual rule and I am making a resolution that I hope that I can keep...not to lose my temper and say things that hurt to the one I love most. Words said in anger even though not really meant can never be taken back. I have a tendency to blow up when my feelings are hurt...and then hurt the one I love most. I hope I can find the discipline this year to just keep my fucking mouth shut. It is a resolution that if I can keep will make life a lot easier.

ANATOMY OF A FAILED PRESIDENCY

Barack Obama is on track to have the most spectacularly failed presidency since Woodrow Wilson. In the modern era, we've seen several failed presidencies--led by Jimmy Carter and LBJ. Failed presidents have one strong common trait-- they are repudiated, in the vernacular, spat out. Of course, LBJ wisely took the exit ramp early, avoiding a shove into oncoming traffic by his own party. Richard Nixon indeed resigned in disgrace, yet his reputation as a statesman has been partially restored by his triumphant overture to China.
But, Barack Obama is failing. Failing big.. Failing fast. And failing everywhere: foreign policy, domestic initiatives, and most importantly, in forging connections with the American people. The incomparable Dorothy Rabinowitz in the Wall Street Journal put her finger on it: He is failing because he has no understanding of the American people, and may indeed loathe them. Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard says he is failing because he has lost control of his message, and is overexposed. Clarice Feldman of American Thinker produced a dispositive commentary showing that Obama is failing because fundamentally he is neither smart nor articulate; his intellectual dishonesty is conspicuous by its audacity and lack of shame.
But, there is something more seriously wrong: How could a new president riding in on a wave of unprecedented promise and goodwill have forfeited his tenure and become a lame duck in six months? His poll ratings are in free fall. In generic balloting, the Republicans have now seized a five point advantage. This truly is unbelievable. What's going on?
No narrative.. Obama doesn't have a narrative. No, not a narrative about himself. He has a self-narrative, much of it fabricated, cleverly disguised or written by someone else. But this self-narrative is isolated and doesn't connect with us. He doesn't have an American narrative that draws upon the rest of us. All successful presidents have a narrative about the American character that intersects with their own where they display a command of history and reveal an authenticity at the core of their personality that resonates in a positive endearing way with the majority of Americans. We admire those presidents whose narratives not only touch our own, but who seem stronger, wiser, and smarter than we are. Presidents we admire are aspirational peers, even those whose politics don't align exactly with our own: Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, Harry Truman, Ike, and Reagan.
But not this president. It's not so much that he's a phony, knows nothing about economics, and is historically illiterate and woefully small minded for the size of the task--all contributory of course. It's that he's not one of us. And whatever he is, his profile is fuzzy and devoid of content, like a cardboard cutout made from delaminated corrugated paper. Moreover, he doesn't command our respect and is unable to appeal to our own common sense. His notions of right and wrong are repugnant and how things work just don't add up. They are not existential. His descriptions of the world we live in don't make sense and don't correspond with our experience.
In the meantime, while we've been struggling to take a measurement of this man, he's dissed just about every one of us--financiers, energy producers, banks, insurance executives, police officers, doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, post office workers, and anybody else who has a non-green job. Expect Obama to lament at his last press conference in 2012: "For those of you I offended, I apologize. For those of you who were not offended, you just didn't give me enough time; if only I'd had a second term, I could have offended you too."
Mercifully, the Founders at the Constitutional Convention in 1787 devised a useful remedy for such a desperate state--staggered terms for both houses of the legislature and the executive. An equally abominable Congress can get voted out next year. With a new Congress, there's always hope of legislative gridlock until we vote for president again two short years after that.
Yes, small presidents do fail, Barack Obama among them.. The coyotes howl but the wagon train keeps rolling along.
