St Johns Newfoundland

I had an uneventful trip up...West Jet does tend to cram you in like sardines in a can but I learned this valuable lesson about seats when you fly economy...try to get a porthole seat next to the emergency exit...lots of leg room on a West jet flight there.

The Weather here has been cool..in fact cooler now than it was when I was here last month. Not cold so much as cool and windy and the 40 K wind makes it seems colder. Damn, I am thinking in metric again...been a lot of years since I was in a metric country and thought in kilos and meters instead of pounds and yards.

I have a few pics I will post later..just this one for now. Hope to have a "Good Morning B log World post tomorrow. Take care my friends and thanks for stopping by.
My angel of the morning loves me...life is good.

Sunday Morning Coming Down

I expect to see more and more of these kind of terrorist attacks during the next few years of Obama rule. Yes, New Yorkers were lucky this time but will they be so lucky next time? And of course the Times didn't make any mention of who might have been responsible for the attack...you and I have a pretty good idea though, don't we? But then the Koz brats and the Obama kool ade drinkers will probably try to blame it on the Tea Party....

It was one hell of a ride... jockey Calvin Borel rode so close to the rail I though he was gonna take it out as he urged 'Super Saver' to the wire on a track that more resembled mud than dirt. The race was memorial in a couple of ways...it was the third Kentucky Derby win for Borel out of the past four starts and the first win for trainer Todd Pletcher. Borel allowed that he was going to take Super Saver all the way to the Triple Crown...and he might well do it. He is one hell of a jockey and I learned a long time ago to put more faith in the jockey than the hay burner. Good jockeys usually will not risk their rep on a bad horse. And jockeys know the horses better than anyone around the track...their living depends on it.

Oh, by the way...just before the race my friend and yours, the Catfish, called me to let me know that Todd Pletcher was one of his relatives of sorts..married to one of Catfish's cousins. Not an in-law..maybe an outlaw?

It is a beautiful Sunday morning in my part of Florida. Overcast but warm...about 75F...and comfortable. I took a brisk walk and talked to my creator a bit and thanked her for my angel of the morning who has told me that she loved me. and she knows I love her very dearly. Life is good my friends...y'all come back, heah?

Good Morning Blog World

Some of you might note that I have taken down the post I had here yesterday...nothing has changed...I am still planning on flying to ST Johns Newfoundland Tuesday, May 4. I took the post down because of a hateful comment on the post that I could not remove. I have changed the comments to e mail and then I can select the comments I want to post.

I have always believed in the freedom of speech provided that the speech did not impose nor threaten me and/or mine and I have never deleted any comments other than those kind. However, I am tired of such comments that seem to be coming with regularity now. Thus the e-mail to me option for comments.

Blogging has become a chore for the most part now although there are some days that I still enjoy putting up a post. Today is not one of those days. I have promised myself that I would not ever let hate mail and hate comments drive me from blogging and I will keep that promise to myself. I intend to keep posting periodically from Newfoundland when I can get internet connection.

St Johns is a beautiful city with as friendly population that I have ever met. However if you read the comment that was here before I took the post down you would not think so. I suspect that there are bad apples in every barrel and St Johns in no exception.

Life is great my friends! And I tell you this...life is too short not to grab on to happiness when you can find it. My angel of the morning told me she loved me first thing today...and that alone makes life worth living. Y'all come, heah?
